Alan Schaller from London is the Leica ambassador and Co-founder of Street Photography International. Famous for his contrast black and white photography portraying ‘the realities and diversities of human life’, Schaller now swims into animal psychology trying to portrait unique dog personalities conditioned to different countries and cultures they come from. Before taking photographs Schaller’s process includes getting to know the dog and creating a bond and gaining its trust. His goal is to encourage people to help charities which let you adopt a dog or support them through donations. Schaller also shared his thoughts about whole this experience: “I find dogs are in general more consistently friendly, unpredictable, and amusing than humans. Almost every dog I have photographed, unless the scenario has been tragic, has made me laugh at some point when meeting it.” Check out his Instagram for more of his work.
