Do you want curved walls? How about something completely new! In the mountainous region of Taipei’s Xindian district, Yan Architects aroused gorgeous warm “Lan Villa”, inspired by the beauty of nature and mountain landscapes. Curved walls, covered with wooden slats, bring elegance and reflect variations of light casting different colors into the living space resembling the changing seasons. “Revolving around the flow of time, space interweaves life, nature, and time together. The fluidity of flow in the building establishes great flexibility, giving users freedom to redefine their living space.” The three-story building sits on the hill and due to its terrain, the entrance is located on the second floor. The 2,390-square-foot home has a kitchen and dining area on the first floor. The second floor has a large deck, main entrance, and mezzanine, while all the bedrooms are located on the last floor. Almost the entire front side of the house is made out of giant windows, giving residents a chance to enjoy and relax in the presence of the awe-inspiring scenery that surrounds them.
