$30,000 Walnut and Mahogany Bathtubs by NK Woodworking & Design studio

Nathie Katzoff is the craftsperson and the founder of the NK Woodworking & Design studio. Already awarded multiple times over the past 9 years since the birth of the company, the studio now presents its special bathtubs. And they are truly special. The price starts at $30,000 and the bathtub is obviously more than just that. Made out of sustainable domestic and exotic hardwood, the bath keeps the water warmer for a much longer period. “My favorite [material] to use, visually, as a composition, is walnut and mahogany called Sapele,” Katzoff said. Depending on complexity it takes approximately 3-4 months to make a bath. “The most extreme custom bath (no public photos available) we made took almost a year to create.” They come in different sizes and designs/shapes. $30,000 may sound a bit too much, but: “These are art-level pieces priced similarly to nice cars and handmade high-end art furniture,” Katzoff explained.
