Earn money and have fun by dusting off your old jigsaw puzzles, or maybe it’s not that easy after all. Tim Klein is a surreal puzzle montage artist who combines two or more different puzzles and re-arrange them into a completely new and much much harder puzzle. Artist found inspiration for his art from 1988 magazine article and credited Mel Andringa as a pioneer of the art form. Klein explains his working process this way: “Jigsaw puzzle companies tend to use the same cut patterns for multiple puzzles. This makes the pieces interchangeable. I take great pleasure in “discovering” such bizarre images lying latent, sometimes for decades, within the pieces of ordinary mass-produced puzzles. As I shift the pieces back and forth, trying different combinations, I feel like an archaeologist unearthing a hidden artifact.” Please visit Tim Klein’s Facebook and official website for more information.
Surreal puzzle montage by Tim Klein
Artist got the idea from a 1988 magazine article
Jigsaw puzzle companies cut pattern the same way for many different puzzles,
Which allows Tim to combine multiple puzzles into one surrealistc hybrid
As you would imagine, these puzzles are much harder to complete,
As their pieces don’t have much sense sometimes.
