Henry the dog was adopted in 2014 by avid hikers Cynthia Bennett and her boyfriend when Henry was only 14 weeks old. It was love on the first sight when Henry met Cynthia. He curled up in her lap with his belly up head flipped over her arm. That was the moment Cynthia knew they’ve just acquired a new hiker. After only three days Henry’s joined their hiking club. “He found the steepest, tallest rock around, and he ran up to the top of it to look over the edge.” That’s why they started calling him their “little mountain goat,” said Cynthia.
A couple months ago a rescue kitten entered their hiking family. Siamese kitten mix named Baloo was introduced to the dog and instantly fell in love with Henry yearning for play and snuggle time. Soon Baloo was all over Henry’s back rising together to the top of the mountains. As Cynthia describes: “He really wants to go outside, if I touch Henry’s leash, Baloo will start screaming at the door.”
