Vituzzo Superstar – The Road to Becoming a Perfect Bionic Cat

Our feline superhero who lives in Milan, Italy was accidentally run over by a car in December of 2018. He was immediately taken to the hospital and operated on, but the veterinarians were unable to save his hind legs. During this time, Vituzzo’s humans were on their honeymoon and unable to comfort him through the scary ordeal. December 2019 was a different story for Vituzzo and his pawrents. Though it was a difficult year, the brave cat was fitted for prostheses and started to use the sleek, robotic legs to move around like his other four-legged friends. It’s been a long road for Vituzzo, but he seems quite accustomed to these changes and his new legs. Check out the gallery below to see Vito in action and follow him on Instagram to see how he continues to adjust to life as a bionic cat.

Here’s a part of the beginning of Vito’s story posted on his Instagram – “… a few days ago [December 2018] I went under a car and lost a leg. Luckily Ramona Linzola found me and immediately took me to the vet.”

“They immediately operated on me to save the other leg, but yesterday they had to amputate that too.”

“Elena and Manu have looked after me and loved me in these terrible days because my moms were on their honeymoon in India.”

“Today, however, they came back and gave me a nice Christmas present.”

“Now I will try to walk with prostheses: it will be a very long and difficult thing.”

Though it has been a challenging transition, nowadays Vituzzo acts like any other cat and nothing is holding him back from living his best life.
