Bushfire Brandalism: “As a collective group of 41 Australian artists, we have been driven to reclaim public advertising space with posters speaking to the Australian government’s inaction on climate change and the devastating bushfires.” Climate crisis, bushfires, and fossil fuel industry are the main focus of the group aiming to save their loving home. “We do not accept that this situation is ‘business as usual.’ We are making these issues visible in our public spaces and in our media; areas monopolized by entities maintaining conservative climate denial agendas. If the newspapers won’t print the story, we will!” Most of the ads were replaced at the bus stops and other public places. 78 posters were replaced in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane and all have QR code that allows viewers to scan it with their phone to get the list of 30+ charities that help the cause directly.
