‘Lucid Dream II’ – Twisted Ceramic Portrait Sculptures by Virtuoso Johnson Tsang

Johnson Tsang is the cream of the world-class sculptors today. Award-winning mastermind with magical hands, Johnson is known for his spectacular work with ceramics, stainless steel sculptures as well as his public art projects. Hong Kong-based virtuoso mastered his technique during the past 2 decades, where he learned how to perfectly capture the instantaneous moment of splashes with white porcelain. His work is mostly a combination of realistic sculptural techniques wielded by his surrealist imagination. His latest series which you can see below is named ‘Lucid Dream II’ and it seems to be having a theme of connecting our conscious and subconscious within. Artist has received “The Secretary for Home Affairs’ Commendation” from the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for his outstanding achievements in international art events. He’s the only Chinese artist who has received both Grand Prize, 2012 Taiwan International Ceramics Biennale and Special Prize, Korea Gyeonggi International Ceramix Biennale 2011 International Competition.
