2,362 Deaths by ‘Coronavirus disease 2019’ (COVID-19). 21,318 people have recovered from the disease. Still, we have 54,304 patients currently infected and the virus is spreading wider each day. The first death in Italy has been recorded recently and more and more European cities are onto their way to lockdowns. Scientists stand firmly on the topic that origin that must be only synthetic and surely not natural. Conspiracy theories are vast and ongoing. Coincidently it was the Chinese New Year on January 25 when the virus outbreak was starting. Many Chinese went to China to celebrate and later they’ve come back to their countries where they live. There’s no one who can say how and how far has virus spread.
Medical staff in Wuhan (the epicenter of coronavirus) have published photos on social media to reveal the toll doctors and nurses have suffered trying to save patients, the world, and themselves. Completely exhausted from nonstop working, the sight of them falling asleep on chairs and hospital floors has been their everyday life for a long period of time. Tight protective masks and rest of the gear have left marks on their faces and body. Sore faces, bruises, blisters… You can see below some of the things they have to do to protect themselves, including shaving off their hair. No time to rest, to use bathrooms, and no time to eat. They’ve published these photos on twitter with a caption: “Nurses take off their face masks after a grueling shift in the fight with novel #coronavirus, touching the hearts of millions on Chinese social media. Salute to these angels! #EverydayHero”.
Locals seem to be giving up hope and trust in government. “We listened to everything officials told us to do,” one resident of Wuhan said to NPR. “We were so obedient. They said to go into isolation, so we sent my aunt and my mother into isolation wards. But let me tell you what these wards really are; they are places where you send people to die by themselves.”
