Draw a Plush Toy? If Your Kid Can Draw or Scribble You Can Create a Toy of His Dreams

Budsies was founded in 2013 by Alex Furmansky, a man inspired by his younger sister’s drawings. He had seen her hugging her stuffed animals when going to sleep, so the idea came up. “What if I could turn a drawing into a stuffed animal friend that would last forever?” Alex borrowed one of her drawings, it was a dog-like creature named Dongler, and soon he was a plush toy making his little sister burst with joy. “In the beginning, most of the orders were of kids’ drawings, doodles, and other artwork” Budsies representative Melissa explains. “Now, we see everything from a child’s first drawing, to detailed original characters, author’s book characters, sports team mascots and more. The idea is truly limitless and that’s what makes Budsies so special” A new branch of business was born – ‘Petsies’. Plush toys custom-created to be a mirror image of someone’s dear pet. “We’ve had people cry, scream, lots of hugging their Budsies, and people who are just speechless” Minimum price for the toys is $99. You’re choosing the size, details, material. Plush can be super soft or include faux fur and custom embroidery. One of the most important programs a company had created was Budsies Pals. Working with healthcare providers and giving free Budsies to kids who might need them the most. “Some of the Budsies that we have made are from drawings of kids who unfortunately passed away and the Budsies are given to the family. It very touching knowing that we have given something to these families who have been through so much.” On their Instagram, you can see for yourself examples of super happy customers and their toys.
