Enzo is a special golden retriever with a rare condition called pigmented somatic cell mutation. Without any harm to his health, the condition only makes him a ton cuter than he already is! “Golden retrievers are born with a base black coat, with a ‘modifier gene’ that turns them golden. Almost every dog has this modifier. Enzo has a little stumble in his DNA that erased it on that one part of his face,” Ella Castro, the Enzo’s owner, explains. No wonder here, Enzo already has an army of almost 150k on Instagram. The page states: ‘Pro napper, sock theiver, long-walk taker, kiss giver, fuzzy snuggler since 12/14/16.’ “He loves to greet joggers and bikers and other dogs, and definitely seems to take personal offense any time anyone is too busy to say hello,” Castro adds.
