The time has come for your plants to take a flight and turn your home into a sorcerer’s den. Company Flyte’s first big recognition was their iconic levitating light bulb, which was one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2016 and winner of the LIT Award Lighting Product Design of 2017. At the same time they’ve started a Kickstarter campaign for LYFE planter, and thanks to 1,203 donators they’ve reached $328,579 in total and brought the idea to fruition. Below you can see the base that is made of oak and it’s powered by strong magnetism. A planter hovers above it and rotates slowly obtaining equal sunlight on all sides. All planters are designed as a geodesic form, and bases are discrete so the attention never leaves the levitating planter. All the Flyte’s floating home accessories are innovations by the mastermind, the Swedish scientist Simon Morris and his team. The 12-sided geodesic planter is molded from silicon, therefore it’s very grippy and tactile. The LYFE reservoir helps with the over-watering problem, as the drainage system is designed to let water escape to a hidden inner reservoir. The price is $299, the weight of the base is 1.300 grams (45.8 ounces), and the weight of the pot is 240 grams (8.5 ounces).
