Horses Living under Extreme Weather in Magical Land of Iceland

Filmmaker and photographer from New York City, Drew Doggett has impressed us once again in a fairytale fashion! His new photo series ‘In the Realm of Legends’, a fantasy tale focusing on the unique relationship between this magical land and the horses. “Iceland is a surreal place, and the horses are the perfect companions to this unusual yet breathtaking land. Combination of the two is truly unforgettable”, Doggett said. Artist feels like he was drawn to Iceland from his early childhood. “Jules Verne’s ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’ was one of the many books I read and re-read knowing that I wanted adventure in my own life one day”, and the adventure he got. Challenge of documenting animals and the ever-changing ruthless weather of Iceland made things a lot more uncertain and thrilling. As Doggett recalls: “I had to make the best of every single opportunity in front of me because it wouldn’t be long before the rain fell or the wind picked up to the point of us needing to find shelter.” Collective nostalgia, inspiration, and fantasy are the feelings Doggett hopes to evoke in people watching.
