Magical and Poetic Photo Manipulations by Luisa Azevedo

Like our young artist loves to say “I don’t want realism. I want magic.” – and this is truly a leitmotif of all of her creations. Luisa Azevedo is a 21-year-old Portuguese art student and part-time Instagrammer. She is studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon with a specialization in Multimedia Art. Azevedo always liked to use art and crafts to create her own imaginary world. As she grew old she got interested in photography, design and digital art. She found in photography and photo manipulation a daily challenge to deconstruct and reconstruct her own reality. Most of her work is focused on animals that she likes to dissuade and transform into dreamy and surreal things. A cat with a road-tail, a bird-fox flying over the mountains, a mountain looking like a wolf silhouette and many others. Visit this young artist’s Instagram Page and if you are interested in some of her photographs visit her Etsy Shop where you can buy those lovely and fuzzy prints.

House Guardian

“Last night when I was trying to fall asleep I had this idea – a fox (my favorite animal) made of stars and galaxies happily running in a field. Somehow this idea relaxed me and I fell asleep.”

First House Guardian created in July 2017.

“Last night I dreamed I was flying with this beautiful owl in Japan.”

Imagination running wild!

“One of the many magical creatures wandering in my mind, inspired by a drawing made by my friend Alice.”

Only those who wander find new paths. And giant cats.

The Protector of the Forest

“One more proof that true love has no limitations or boundaries.”
