Spacious New York Loft Renovated to Reflect Owners’ Personalities by STUDIOLAV

What you see is the result of portraying the clients’ personalities and lifestyle through a sophisticated interior design by STYDIOLAV. London-based designers Loukas Angelou and Vasso Asfi met their client’s wishes via renovation of extraordinary Manhattan loft. The inspiration came right after meeting new occupants and led to: “An elegantly choreographed interior underpinned by an eclectic aesthetic that boldly intertwines the building’s industrial heritage, the understated elegance of contemporary minimalism and the zany playfulness reminiscent of the 1980s Memphis Group,” as designers said.

Location is in New York’s SoHo. The loft has a large open plan space which ended up being a spacious living and dining area able to entertain 10 to 15 guests. A central seating area surrounded by the small working station and a study corner invites guests to socialize, yet effortlessly move around. Kitchen is beautifully white-toned with plenty of storage. Living and dining area are adorned by contemporary art and the whimsical interplay of colors textures and shapes. Exposed brickwork, unvarnished timber beams, and hardwood flooring give an urban feel contrasted by a collection of minimalist furniture elegant in curvaceous geometry; a pure sophisticated ensemble.
