Paolo Raeli Shows Us How Beautiful the Youth Can Be

Raeli is born and raised in Palermo, South Italy. Being scared of forgetting things, his main focus became photography and taking pictures of his friends and loved ones mostly. With his works, the artist reflects exactly the youth culture and all those sweet and innocent things we did back in the days or still do – kisses in the back of a car, hiking through the rain, sleeping under the open sky and cycling through balmy summer nights. Yes, young love. There is no purest thing in the world and Raeli gave us more than a glimpse of it in his dreamy, vintage photographs. Raeli exhibits his works in the photo exhibition called “Inside My Room” in Favara and in the exhibition “Paolo Raeli” in the Daelim Museum in Seoul. Rarely do you experience such lively, honest, and warm images that play with colors in a very individual way? Already feel younger? Proceed to Raeli’s Instagram Page and you’ll find plenty of fluff and sweet nothings.

“Fall in love gently. Remind yourself that you are the longest relationship of your life.”

“Remind yourself that you are a child of this universe and that you are worthy of happiness.”

“Fall in love with the way you feel things deeply. The color of someone’s laughter. The texture of someone’s kindness.”

“The nostalgia of going back to places that caused you so much pleasure and pain. You are an old soul trapped in a body that’s slowly, slowly decaying.”

“Fall in love with your failures. The events that shaped you into becoming who you are today. Embrace your shortcomings for they serve as a lesson in your formless memory…”

“Fall in love with your existence. The little things that make you who you are. The poetry that you write. The instrument that you play… Fall in love with yourself until you finally feel like home.” – quote fragments by Juansen Dizon
