“I decided to create social media accounts because many people have no idea how some of the fish look. I’m constantly impressed by the appearance of some deep water fish and want to share my experiences with other people,” shares Roman Fedortsov, the man who brings us these insightful photos. “I’m 39 and have been working onboard trawlers for seventeen years. The most extreme fish I have ever caught are Frilled Shark, Rabbitfish, Big Sunfish, Angler, Stoplight Loosejaw…” Most of these photos come from Norwegian and Barents seas, and the Atlantic Ocean. As Murmansk, Russia-based Fedortsov spends most of his time on fishing trawlers, together with his crew they work six hours and rest for the next six, and so on. Their purpose is catching commercial fish like Cod, Haddock, Redfish, Herring… Fedirtsov claims he’s never been scared of any fish he photographed; well we’re not so sure we are that brave. We’ve picked only the least scary ones for you. If you want to see even scarier things than feel free to catch them at Fedortsov’s Twitter!
